Johanneskyrkan is a Lutheran church in a Neo-Gothic style. With its central location and impressive appearance, Johanneskyrkan is a popular wedding church. Due to its excellent acoustics, it is also favored for concerts.

Johannes Parish holds a Swedish-language service every Sunday at 12 PM in Johanneskyrkan. Additionally, we have midday prayers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12 PM and a weekly service on Wednesdays at 6 PM, from September to May.

Johanneskyrkan was built on Röddäldshöjden on the outskirts of the former town and was completed in 1891. The plans for the church were made by Stockholm architect Adolf Emil Melander. Initially, the church was called the New Church.
