When the church was built, it was painted green on the inside, but by the early 20th century, it was given its current white-beige color scheme.

The most recent renovation inside the church was carried out for the church's 100th anniversary in 1991.

The façade was renovated between 2021 and 2022. A large portion of the decoration had to be replaced with newly cast copies, such as the water spouts and small towers. There are many of them! A total of 20 km of new mortar was used between the bricks!
