When the church was built it was painted green inside, but already in the early 20th century it was given its current white-beige coloring.

The last renovation of the interior of the church was done for the 100th anniversary of the church in 1991.

The facade was renovated in 2021-2022. Much of the decoration had to be replaced with newly cast copies, such as the water cannons and the small towers. There are many of them! 20 km of new grout was used between the bricks!
