Christmas Walks and Organ Concerts
Concerts are held in the church year-round, but during the summer, Johanneskyrkan participates in the Summer of Organs, a series of regular organ concerts in various churches around the city. In Johanneskyrkan, a free organ concert is held every Tuesday during the summer at 5 PM, called "Fice o' clock" Organ, usually performed by one of the parish's three organists.
Before Christmas, the parish's children's ministry organizes Christmas walks for daycare groups. These are non-denominational and focus on why Christians celebrate Christmas. The children embark on a small time travel, where they come to Bethlehem to register for the census, meet shepherds, angels, and wise men, discover a large star – and the miracle of Christmas.
