concerts are held in the church throughout the year, but during the summer St. John's is part of the Organ Summer, with regular organ concerts in various churches around the city. Every Tuesday during the summer, St. John's Church hosts a free organ concert at 17:00, "Fice o´clock" Organ, usually by one of the parish's three cantors.

Before Christmas, the parish's children's activities organize Christmas walks for kindergarten groups. They are non-denominational and focus on why Christians celebrate Christmas. The children are taken on a little journey through time, where they go to Bethlehem to write their taxes, meet shepherds, angels and wise men, discover a big star - and the wonder of Christmas.
