Church renovations
The church was thoroughly renovated in 1965-66. The chimneys, which had blackened the walls, were removed and the building was given central heating. The asphalt floor was replaced with wood and the pews in the lower hall were replaced. In 2006, the church was renovated, with the old altar narrowed to a side table and the new altar positioned so that the priests can face the congregation during the service. The lectern and baptismal table are in the same style as the altar. the sound system and other technology has been updated to respect the old. Several times a year, this 800-seat church is packed to capacity. The service is held every Sunday, and is broadcast on the radio
live on Radio Dei (100.0 MHz). The service can be viewed on the parish's YouTube channel.
