Along with the drawing room, the study is one of the original surviving interiors from Anderson’s home. The room probably got its name from the bureau there, which also served as a desk. One wall is lined with bookshelves, displaying a small part of Anderson’s extensive library. On top of the bookshelf are photos of Anderson’s friends.

The study is dominated by Russian furnishings in the Empire style. It includes a sofa, four armchairs, a table and the chest of drawers. The previous owners and makers of the pieces of furniture are unknown, but Anderson bought them in 1917. It is unclear how this furniture ended up in Finland. It is made of pine with mahogany veneer. The sofa and table were made in St. Petersburg in the 1810s, and the armchairs in the 1820s.

The lounge chairs’ armrests feature sphinxes made of blackened, gilded wood. The face of Apollo is depicted on the brass fittings of the backrests, with palmette motifs on the sides. The sofa’s shoulder pieces have a serpentine decoration, with swans’ heads on the armrests. The backrest’s wooden side frames are partially black, patinated caryatid heads, while low columns serve as the sofa’s front legs. The furniture upholstery is not original. The turned legs of the table, decorated with leaf sheaths, are partly patinated in a bronze colour, and partly gilded. The paintings on the walls are by Finnish artists from the late 19th century and early 20th century.
