

Many notable figures have walked the aisles of Temppeliaukio Church. In May 1976, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom visited the church. At that time, Helsingin Sanomat reported that the queen alternately gazed at the copper-adorned ceiling and the rocky walls.
In 1982, U.S. President Jimmy Carter visited the church and signed a special guestbook, preserved in the church sacristy, with his large handwriting.
The following year, Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi visited the church at her own request.
The royals of the Nordic countries have also been frequent visitors to Temppeliaukio Church.
In 2011, South African Nobel Peace Prize laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu visited the church and wanted to play the organ.
Additionally, Temppeliaukio Church has hosted many world-renowned performers, choirs, and orchestras. For example, Spanish tenor José Carreras and American soprano Barbara Hendricks have taken advantage of the church's unique acoustics in their concerts.
