Chippendale chairs became popular in Finnish homes in the early 20th century. The style is named after the English furniture maker Thomas Chippendale (1718–1779), although later designs differ markedly from those he created in the 18th century. The sofa is a Finnish Emma sofa. The serving table from the early 1940s was designed by Birger Kaipiainen (1915– 1988). The piano was made by Grotrian Steinweg in 1922.

The wallpaper in the music room – and in most other rooms – has an ingrain texture known in Finland as a mural or porridge pattern.
