Amos travelled to and from Söderlångvik by car and had his own driver. Although the residence was several hours from Helsinki, Amos often drove to dine in the city in the summer. It was important for him to maintain both personal and business contacts. The driver’s simple room is positioned so that the he could access the kitchen or the yard via the staff staircase without disturbing the peace of the house.
