The drawing room is the grandest room of the house. Entirely decorated in yellow and white, it sparkles with gilded details and shining silk. In the late 19th century, it was conventional that the drawing room in a wealthy and representative upper-class home should be furnished in Rococo or Gustavian style. Mirrors and mirrored tables were often placed between the windows. In this drawing room there are several mirrors, most of them from the 18th century and flanked by sconces. Variation to the decor is provided by porcelain urns of different sizes, as well as vases and figurines. A Venetian glass chandelier, richly dressed with pendeloques, spears and rosettes, dominates the middle of the drawing room.
