This room got its name from the anticipated visit of a sheik several years ago. We quickly renovated and modernized the room, which has always been the main guest room. The sheik never arrived, but the name stuck.
With nearly 50 square meters, the room has windows facing north and east, offering beautiful views of the Tanaro Valley and the north side of the park. The highlight of the room is the four-poster bed from the 1700s, similar to those in the Castle of Guarena, which also belonged to a branch of the Roero family.
Another unique feature is the private bathroom, one of only two bedrooms in the castle with this luxury. There's an interesting story about the bathroom: before the latest renovation, the toilet was completely separate from the bath area, but we kept it as a historical memory, complete with a romantic little slit window. The concept of privacy has certainly changed over the years!
