Inside Oscars Church, there is actually another small church. This church is a popular spot for children, which is not surprising. It originally came from the Junibacken's "Monsters & Mysteries" exhibition, based on Martin Widmark's books about LasseMaja's Detective Agency. Back then, it was called Valleby Church, but now we simply call it the Play Church.

In connection with Tim Bergling's (Avicii) tragic passing in April 2018, music by the artist was played on Oscars Church's carillon. The initiative came from someone who noticed how churches in other European countries had honored Avicii, and the Oscars congregation (where Bergling was born) was eager to participate in the tribute. Every day at 12:00 noon for a week, a melody from the song "Wake Me Up" was played, and each day, several hundred people, mostly youths and young adults, gathered outside the church to listen and pay their respects to Tim Bergling.
