"The Rediscovered Dream" is a photography exhibition dedicated to the Romantic Park of the Castle of Monticello d'Alba, created by photographer Dario Fusaro. The exhibition is a visual celebration of one of the most enchanting historical gardens in our region, restored to its former glory thanks to the enhancement project funded by the Ministry of Culture's PNRR initiative, “Programs for Valuing Place Identity: Historical Parks and Gardens.”
The park, originally conceived in 1827 by landscape architect Xavier Kurten and completed in 1839 by gardener Marcellino Roda, is an extraordinary example of an English Romantic garden. It’s a place where nature harmonizes with art, where every path, glimpse, and perspective seeks to transport visitors into a world suspended between dream and reality. Through Fusaro's lens, the park reveals itself in all its renewed beauty, showcasing the delicacy and power of nature carefully preserved. His images capture the details of the restoration and the allure envisioned by Kurten and Roda nearly two centuries ago, returning to us the original vision of the landscape architect and gardener: a place of peace, harmony, and timeless beauty.
"The Rediscovered Dream" invites visitors to be captivated by the atmospheres of a romantic past, newly brought to light, awaiting the upcoming bloom that will reveal it at its peak splendor.
