The Beautiful Concert Hall

We might be biased, but to us, this hall is the most beautiful in Finland. Inspired by the architectural language of a log jam, the Concert Hall is a prestigious venue, perfect for events where "just fine" simply isn’t enough.

The hall is vineyard-style, meaning the audience almost completely surrounds the centrally placed stage.

The Concert Hall is the crown jewel of the Helsinki Music Centre. This unique space offers an unforgettable experience for its guests. With a stage surrounded by seating, meticulously refined acoustics, and top-quality sound and lighting technology, the hall provides unparalleled conditions for any event in Finland.

Every detail of the Concert Hall has been carefully designed with acoustics in mind. For example, the seats replicate the way the human body absorbs and reflects sound, while the gaps in the birch panels create softer sound reflections. The overhead canopy ensures that the orchestra can clearly hear their own performance.

Architects describe the Concert Hall as a pearl nestled inside a seashell.

The vineyard-style design creates an illusion of a smaller space and brings the audience closer to the performers.

The intimate atmosphere is enhanced by color tones reminiscent of a smoke sauna.

The architectural language draws inspiration from log jams: the seating sections can be seen as logs protruding in slightly different directions along a riverbed.

The hall features dark-stained solid wood and Finnish birch, with a stage made from light-waxed pine.
