This icon was painted around 1870, and it depicts a scene from Matthew 19:13-15, in which Jesus blesses a group of children. This large icon is originally from the orthodox chapel that was situated in the Russian gymnasium of Alexander. Between 1923-1925 the building was repurposed to house the Helsinki Natural History Museum and the icon was moved to the Uspenski Cathedral as a result.

Under the icon there is a cross which priests used during services and on top of the icon there are smaller icons of Saint Sergei and Herman of Valaam, Virgin Mary and Jesus, and Saint Nicholas.
