Second stop
You have now arrived at the second stop of our tour. You can sit for a moment on the seats available at this point.
The organ at the Music Hall has 124 stops. A stop refers to a row of pipes that have a specific timbre. So, the organ at the Music Hall has 124 different tonal colors, and, for example, each orchestral instrument has its own stop here that mimics its sound.
Additional tonal colors can be created almost endlessly by combining different stops.
You can now listen to examples of the Music Hall organ’s sound by selecting options that appear on your device. Each example has been played using a different stop or combination of stops. To access the music samples, go back to the previous screen and choose the desired sound clip. After listening to the music samples, you can turn right and move along the upper platform to the final stop of our tour, near door number 8 on the right side of the organ.
