Saint Barbara was a Greek saint and martyr who is a patron saint of artillerymen. This icon originates from Olonets, from where it moved to the city of Viborg and finally found its way to the Uspenski cathedral after the city was ceded to the Soviet Union. In 2010, robbers broke into the cathedral during the night, stealing the pearl and gem studded crown from the icon.
