Saints Sergius and Herman were Orthodox monks who lived during the 14th century. They are considered to be the founders of Valaam Monastery, and they spread Orthodox Christianity throughout Karelia. 

You can see the Valaam Monastery behind them. The monastery is situated in the largest Lake in Europe, Lake Ladoga.
