Let me tell you a little more about what makes Musiikkitalo's organ so unique. One rare feature in this organ is the presence of three microtonal stops, which are tuned a quarter-tone higher than the standard pitch used in all the other stops. By using these stops together with normal-pitched stops on different manuals, microtonal scales and intervals can be created. To facilitate playing in microtonality, a fifth manual has been built into the fixed console, located behind the top manual, to help the organist navigate these unusual pitches.
