In our play café, you can take a seat for a moment and try out the role of a café worker or customer.
Finns drink more coffee than anyone else in the world. Most coffee is consumed at home. The first cups of coffee in Finland were served at upper-class banquet tables as early as the 1600s. Coffee rooms were established in cities a hundred years later. While coffee spread through cafés in much of Europe, in Finland it became common mainly through homes. People visit cafés for the food and drink selection, the service, and the atmosphere. They serve both the busy and the leisurely, on ordinary days and on special occasions. International coffee and tea trends that became familiar in cafés have also become more common in homes. What is your favorite kind of café?
