Maritime Centre Vellamo

Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge
A grand fishing lodge built for the imperial family of Russia in the 1880’s. Keisarinmajantie 118, open 11am-6pm
Take the local bus number 12 from the centre of Kotka (Kirkkokatu 6) to arrive close to Langinkoski. The buses leave at half-an-hour intervals starting at 8 am.
Maretarium - Underwater World of Finnish Fish. Souvenir shop Meripuoti. Toilets. Sapokankatu 2, open 10am-7pm
A lookout tower with a wonderful sea view and art exhibition. Free of charge. Note that the site is not accessible and has a steep hill and many stairs to reach the top.

You can find a wide array of restaurants and cafés near the Kotka Market Square, the Sapokka Small Boat Harbour area and inside of Shopping Centre Pasaati (free Wifi, toilets).
Parks
The Kotkansaari park trail is five kilometres long. Award-winning parks are Sapokka Water Garden, Katariina Seaside Park, Sibelius Park, Isopuisto Park and Fuksinpuisto Park. Other beautiful parks in Kotkansaari include Pioni Park, Sculpture Promenade, Toivo Pekkanen Park, Palotorninvuori Park, Mansikkalahti and Redutti Herb Garden.
Archipelago
Take the short boat ride (10 min) over to Varissaari and enjoy a local lunch and the old fortress trail. Varissaari’s Fort Elisabeth served as a defense fortress in the 18th century during the Ruotsinsalmi sea battles of 1789-90.
