Welcome to the largest marketplace event in Northern Ostrobothnia on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM! The Potato Market is held annually on the last Saturday of September. Around 200 market vendors and community groups take part.

The Tyrnävä Potato Market offers fun and diverse programs for the whole family!
At the market, you can stock up on potatoes and other vegetables for the winter. The event also features the popular Oulu 2026 Arctic Food Lab local food market with popup restaurants, live music, entertaining stage shows, varied children’s activities, handicrafts, design products, and a wide selection of other market goods.
Performers include Matti-Sakari & Pekkaniskan Pojat and magician Elias Kvist.
Market tickets cost €8. Admission is free for children under 12. Each ticket includes a 2 kg bag of potatoes and free parking.
There will be free bus transportation to the Potato Market (timetable will be published closer to the event). Stops:

The Potato Market is organized by Lions Club Tyrnävä ry, which donates the proceeds from ticket sales and marketplace rental fees to charity every year.
