New Year’s Lights in Tyrnävä | 31 December 2025

Kick off the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture program in Tyrnävä with the spectacular New Year’s Lights on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, from 6:00 PM.

On New Year’s Eve, the event organized by the Tyrnävä Village Association together with its partners will light up the Tyrnävä municipal centre with a dazzling outdoor lights display.

For the third year in a row, the Village Association and its collaborators will ignite outdoor candles along the roads leading into the municipal centre. These fires will illuminate the streets from the traffic roundabout in the village centre (Vanhatie 1–2, 91800 Tyrnävä) in every direction.

The event begins at 6:00 PM, when the streetlights are turned off and the fires start to light up the roads. The celebration continues until 1:00 AM on 1 January 2026, when the streetlights are switched back on.

The event is weather-dependent.
