The Underwater Suomenlinna tour offers a new way to experience the sea fortress. Beneath the surface lies a rich underwater heritage—sunken structures, old shipwrecks, and traces of past plans. Some are large and ambitious, others just fragments on the seabed. Yet each one tells a story and adds to Suomenlinna’s history.

The tour takes you across all parts of the fortress, with eight stops on four islands. You’ll explore several underwater sites, including the wreck of the battleship Kronprins Gustav Adolf, and learn how maritime archaeologists uncover and protect these hidden places.
