In the 1700s, formal gardens, a water canal and a gazebo were built there. in the early 19th century, the park already had a pond surrounded by walkways. in the 1870s, the park was transformed into what it is today. After Finland's independence, a café was built for tourists in the park. The park was last restored on a small scale in 2009.
