Suomenlinna Library, which has been operating since 1957, is an important part of the island’s cultural life. The library organises events and exhibitions. It also offers newspapers and magazines to read and complementary use of a computer.

The Suomenlinna library is the smallest branch of the Helsinki City Library. The library’s own collection is small but materials can be ordered from all libraries in the greater Helsinki area.
