Poem located in C/ Sevilla, in the Rincón de la Saeta, and that pays tribute to the famous poem by Antonio Machado, dedicated to the song that best represents the Andalusian Holy Week.
Said a popular voice:
who will lend me a ladder
to climb up to the wood
to remove the nails
of Jesus the Nazarene?
Oh, the saeta, the song
to the Christ of the gypsies
always with blood on their hands,
always to unlock.
Song of the Andalusian people
that every spring
asks for stairs
to climb to the cross.
Song of my land
that throws flowers
to the Jesus of agony
and is the faith of my elders.
oh, you are not my song
i cannot sing nor do I want to
to this Jesus on the tree
but the one who walked on the sea!
