Plaque located on one of the walls of the Castillo de San Luis and consists of two parts. A drawing of the Atlas del Rey Planeta by Pedro Texeira which illustrates an image of Estepona in the seventeenth century and a sonnet by the Estepona doctor José Antonio Bermudez.

How beautiful Estepona from the sea
over the arch of the stranded roadstead,
with its streets full of orange blossom
by its two tall towers crowned.

What a range of ochers in its fields
that die in its golden sands,
with Sierra Bermeja of green mantle,
by a distant rainbow bordered.

What shades there are in its sky
painted by a divine hand.
The colors of my beloved land.

What a great privilege to have been born,
what a great privilege to have lived
in this land kissed by the sea.
