Its main purpose is to show and disseminate the ways of life, customs, economy and other aspects of the life of the inhabitants of the region of Estepona in the last centuries. It has an important exhibition of more than 2000 objects of ethnographic interest. The exhibition space of the Museum is structured in different thematic rooms, in which the visitor is provided with information ordered according to a basic criterion: the functionality of the tools. It has the following rooms:
- Countryside room, where information and utensils are grouped following a functional criterion in different sections: farmhouse, beekeeping, sowing, harvesting, threshing, grain store, livestock, forge and soda factory.
- Seafaring room, where we find handmade miniatures of different types of boats, fishing gear, an equipped patera, rigging panels, knots, etc.
