Kaukola Chimneyless Cabins
The Kaukola chimneyless cabins were relocated from Kaukola in the Lutheran part of the Karelian Isthmus. They represent a very old-fashioned way of living. There are no chimneys in the rooms, so when the cabin was heated, the smoke puffed into the room and - with the help of open windows and cross-draught - exited through an opening in the ceiling.
The small storehouses in the yard were used for sleeping and storing food.
