The Ramsholmen area, known for its deciduous meadows and shore meadows, is one of the most species-rich habitats in Åland. During the spring and summer, it blooms overwhelmingly with white flowers, cowslips, orchids, meadow lilies and other rare plants. There are also pruned ash trees and hazel forests. The name of the site probably comes from the strong garlic smell of the wild garlic, which grows abundantly here. Traditional mowing is carried out every year in July. The area has a rich bird life, including seabirds, wading birds and hole-building birds, as well as other species that nest or forage in the deciduous meadow environment. east of Ramsholmen is Torpfjärden, one of Åland's finest bird watching areas.
