On the wall along the side aisles of the church are a series of carved wooden reliefs made in Italy. They represent the fourteen stations of a Way of the Cross, depicting the suffering of Jesus from Pilate's court to death on the cross and burial. During Lent, Stations of the Cross are regularly held in St. John's Church, with participants moving from station to station, hearing the texts and praying the prayers associated with each image.
