Rescued art, preserved history, multiplied beauty
Oil painting by Olof Arenius, 1760's. The portrait belonged to Ehrensvärd, who bequeathed it to Seaborg, from where it was rescued to Sweden when the fortress surrendered to the Russians in 1808. The Ehrensvärd Museum received it in the 1930's. There are many copies of the portrait.
