The sculpture Gaia (2011) by Kirsi Kaulanen (1969) is named after the ancient Greek goddess of the earth. 14 metres long, 10 metres high and weighing 2,200 kilograms, the polished stainless steel Gaia is a tribute to nature and life. Organic in form, the work appears as a saxophone, a horn, a landscape or a rotating shape. In addition to its free-flowing form, the sculpture's connection to nature is also created by the presence of 28 endangered plants. From Finnish nature.
