We are currently in the strait of Kustaanmiekka. Here you can see the King's Gate with its drawbridge, which historically served as the main entryway to the fortress. This area is also the oldest part of the fortress, where the first stone was laid by King Frederick in 1748. As we pass by, you can also see Finland's only submarine. During the Second World War, Finland engaged in two wars against the Soviet Union. At that time, Finland had five submarines, and this location served as their naval base.
