In front of us, you can see one of the highest-ranked neighborhoods in Helsinki called "Kruununhaka". The name translates to "the Crown's Pastures" and dates back to the 18th century when the crown's artillery horses were taken to pasture in this area. This part of the city hosts important institutions such as the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Bank of Finland, along with many buildings of the University of Helsinki. The central part is built in Empire style. The quay at the seafront is called Halkolaituri, which used to be the place where imported wood was unloaded. Today, it is home to old wooden yachts. The houses on the street at the seafront were built from the late 1880s to the early 1920s.
