The museum of history and contemporary art is called Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. At Aboa Vetus, housed in excavated ruins, the exhibition tells the story of life in the Monastery Quarter, in medieval Turku. Ars Nova offers high-quality exhibitions of contemporary art. Adjacent to the museums is the Pegasus café.
