The lilies circle the arch of the vault and the palm leaves on the altar grove remind us of the coming of the Lord as Prince of Peace. Kallio Church can also be called the Church of the Rose and the Lily. The rose and lily as a Christian symbol represent Christ (a symbol of love) and the Virgin Mary.
