The portrait by Elin Danielson-Gambogi depicts Alfred and Hélène’s daughter Kerstin Jacobsson. Kerstin was born on January 11, 1891, in Stockholm and was adopted the same year by Alfred and Hélène Jacobsson. In her youth, she took singing lessons with the internationally recognised Finnish operatic soprano Maikki Järnefelt-Palmgren.
In 1913 she married Yngve Ridderstad, and that same year their daughter Dora Helena, known as “Baby” (1913–1998), was born. After a divorce in 1918, Kerstin married again in 1921, this time to Ernst von Wendt, but the marriage ended five years later.
She later returned to her birth name, Elsa Maria Lannerdahl, and in 1933 published the poetry collection Korsfarare. Under this name she lived the rest of her life, passing away on March 11, 1963.
