This small collection of helmets consists of Spanish pieces, many of which you may recognize from films about the Conquistadors. They were quite common, especially in Lombardy during the Spanish occupation of the 1600s.
The most distinctive helmet is the one on the right. If you look closely, you'll notice that the front section has been replaced. This is because it has a bullet hole from a musket, likely from an unfortunate Conquistador of the time. During that era, nothing was discarded; everything was repaired. Perhaps we could learn a lesson from that approach.
