These are two portraits from the Cusani family, placed on either side of the entrance archway to the billiard room. As you can see, despite a 25-year difference between them, the two ladies depicted are dressed almost identically, especially in their hairstyles. This is a very rare case; I've never seen anywhere else, not even in museums, two portraits from the same family with such identical attire. No one has ever been able to explain this peculiarity, but we’re pleased to have them here with us.
