The square piano is the only object in the museum that did not belong to Alfred and Hélène Jacobsson. The instrument is part of the Sibelius Museum's collections but has been deposited in Ett Hem since 1965. The instrument was made by Johan Kjellström during the first half of the 19th century. The square piano has a horizontal and smaller resonance box and shorter strings than a grand piano.
