Altar
The altar in Oscars Church dates from 1956 and was created by the sculptor John Lundqvist. The centerpiece is the triumphant Christ. The left wing section depicts life in the form of a family under the tree of life, while the right section represents aging and death, personified by two men—one turning his back on life, and the other slumped under a massive angel of death. The church's original altar, made of polished white marble, came from a stonecutting workshop in Genoa. This altar was dismantled in 1956 and is now preserved in Oscars Lillkyrka, located next to Oscars Church.
