Tytyri Mine Experience is a destination that combines the exciting history of mining, changing art exhibitions, an outstanding banquet venue and a theme cave suitable for the whole family. Located in a real limestone mine that is more than 100 years old, Tytyri Mine Experience is a popular destination with plenty of interesting activities to stimulate all your senses. Solid stone walls at a depth of 100 metres welcome visitors to learn about mining history and the story of limestone and the birth of Finnish bedrock. The museum’s mine tunnels were still in use during the 1950s, but now they display a variety of old tools and machines. Visitors can also watch a video about the current mining activities taking place approximately 300 metres below the visitors.

The Mine Experience also includes a Theme Cave designed for families, where visitors can meet a troll, Easter witch, Halloween characters and Santa Claus at different times of the year. The themed cave opened in the summer of 2023 has received extremely positive feedback from visitors. The underground Tytyri Mine Experience is also home to a unique banquet venue called Tytyri Hall. It can accommodate 100 people for events ranging from ranging from meetings to family celebrations and unforgettable parties.
