The traditional nature trail in Liessaari has been combined with a new health nature trail designed to promote the well-being of visitors. The route now features two types of stops: the functional stops of the health trail guide visitors on how to harness nature's resources to improve their health, while the traditional nature trail stops provide information about the island's lush environment.

Along the trail, you can explore a rich hazel grove and its biodiversity or enjoy the views of the Isoselkä area of Lake Lohjanjärvi from an old quarry. From the southwestern corner of the route, a path leads to the Liessaari lean-to shelter. The deciduous forest is home to large ferns and the violet-blue flowers of lungwort, as well as birds such as the icterine warbler and the blackcap. In the pine forest, you might encounter the tree pipit and the common redstart.

At the lean-to shelter, visitors can take a break and enjoy a snack. In the beginning of the trail there is a beach for swimming.

Length: 2 km.
