Since 2009, there has been a nativity scene on the east wall of the church from the first Sunday of Advent until Epiphany. The scene gradually fills up, so that on Christmas Eve, the baby Jesus is placed there, and a light shines in the star. The nativity scene was built by parishioners Heikki Havas, Arto Silvennoinen, and Tauno Syrjänen. The sheep was made, and the human figures were designed by Marja Poukama.
