The Organ
The organ in Hartola Church originates from the old wooden church, which was completed in 1693. The original 15-stop instrument was built by B.A. Thule in 1896. The Kangasala Organ Factory moved the organ to the new granite church in 1914. Between 1960 and 1961, the organ was renovated, and the number of stops was increased to 19+1. Initially, the organ was located in the church's tower gallery, but it was moved to the rear gallery in 1932.
Today, the organ has 19 stops and features a separate console, which includes Forte, Tutti, Kombinatio, a general swell pedal, and an automatic pedalboard changer. The organ is also equipped with a manual coupling and an automatic pedalboard changer. The organ console is equipped with buttons for Forte, Tutti, and Kombinatio, as well as a general swell pedal. The organ is designed to provide versatile opportunities for performing church music.
