The church bells were transferred from the old church, which was completed in 1693, to the church tower. The larger bell was acquired in 1865 and was cast by Osberg et Bade in Helsinki. The smaller bell was purchased in 1829 by lay judge Antti Knaappila, who bought and fetched it from St. Petersburg. The bell broke in 2007 and is now inside the church under the pulpit. A new bell was acquired in the summer of 2007 from Juutila Foundry in Kaavi.
