The Strömfors Forge Museum is located along the western branch of the Kymi River, in the culturally and historically unique ironworks area of Ruotsinpyhtää's church village, about 18 kilometers from the center of Loviisa. Here, you can learn about the operations of a former ironworks and the blacksmiths' work, as well as see the tools that were used to create iron objects, such as nails and tools.

The museum, maintained by the Loviisa City Museum, is open during the summer. At the blacksmith demonstrations, you can experience how iron was forged using water power in the past. The culturally significant ironworks area can be explored year-round. The forge museum is also open to groups by appointment. On Saturdays in July, the "Iron Lady," Baroness Virginia af Forselles, who led the ironworks from 1790 to 1847, gives visitors a tour of the ironworks area.
