Kotka's Mansikkalahti Beach is located in a beautiful spot next to Katariina Seaside Park. Next to the natural stone and quite rapidly deepening shoreline, there is a sandy children's beach. The beach has a dock, a volleyball court, and two grilling and picnic areas. The playground features swings, sand and water tables, and a climbing net. Swimmers are also served by four changing cabins, an outdoor shower, and a portable toilet.

There is no lifeguard on duty at the beach. The actual swimming area is marked by buoys. The shoreline's vegetation consists of leafy park forest, which is part of the Katariina Trail hiking route.
